How many watts do I need?
A mid-range gaming computer will need 550-650W. With a powerful video card, 750-850W. The stock is useful — the block works most efficiently and quietly at a load of 50-70%.
What does 80 Plus Bronze, Gold mean?
This is a certificate of efficiency — how much less energy the unit loses as heat. Gold is more efficient and usually quieter than Bronze.
Is modular better?
In a modular case, you only connect the cables you need — there are fewer tangles in the case and air circulates better. A non-modular case is cheaper and technically no worse.
What connector does a new video card need?
