FAQ
How many fans do I need?
At least two: one in front (input) and one in back (output). For a gaming computer, 2–3 in front and 1 in back or above is optimal — the video card will run 5–10 °C cooler.
120 or 140 mm?
A 140mm fan will move the same amount of air at a lower RPM, so it's quieter. But the case needs to be 140mm-sized — check the case's specs. Many cases come in both sizes.
What is the difference between PWM and 3-pin?
The 4-pin PWM fan is controlled by the motherboard based on temperature and is completely silent. The 3-pin fan is controlled by voltage — less precisely. The ARGB lighting has a separate 3-pin 5V connector, which does not fit 12V RGB.
Airflow or Static pressure fan?
Airflow fans move more air into open spaces — for rear and top positions of the case. Static pressure fans better „carry“ air through radiators and dust filters — for AIOs and the front panel.
